총 방문자수 100만 명(오차범위 99%)을 자랑하는 오타쿠 블로그인 "Wookie's Blog" 주인장 Wookie가 30일 본지와의 단독 인터뷰에서 자신의 '허위 경력'을 털어놓았다. 무쌍 매니아로 알려진 그는 "무쌍류를 해본적도 없다."고 털어놓았다.
Wookie, a writer of an Otaku blog (Wookie's Blog) with millions (uncertainty 99%) of visitors confessed his "fabricated curriculum vitae" in the interview today. Wookie, famously known as Musou Mania, confessed, "I've never played musou series in my life."

신정아 전 동국대 교수 이후 문화예술계 인사들의 '가짜 경력'이 잇따라 터져 나오는 가운데 '무쌍 매니아'로 불리던 Wookie마저 경력 위조 사실이 밝혀져 큰 충격을 주고 있다. Wookie는 "약 1년 전부터 이 문제로 Wookie's Blog 안팎에서 협박까지 받았다"며 "더 일찍 용기 있게 나서서 밝히지 못한 점을 뼈저리게 참회한다"고 말했다. 그는 인터뷰 도중 자주 눈시울을 붉혔고, 손수건으로 안경 너머 눈물을 닦기도 했다.
Korea, still in the shock of "fabricated academic career" of many prominent figures in aesthetics/arts, was perturbed by Wookie whose fabrication was disclosed today. "I've even received threats, both in and out of, in Wookie's Blog regarding this issue," Wookie said, "I regret not having the courage to confess early." He almost cried during the interview and even used his handkerchief to wipe his tears.

-무쌍을 제대로 해본적이 있는가 (Have you every played Musou seriously?)

"나는 수전증이 있다, 패드를 제대로 잡지도 못한다."
I  have a hand tremor. I can't even hold my Shock Pad.

-어디서 퍼온 동영상 같다고 많이 밟혔었는데… (You were accused of using video from other sources...)

"수전증이 있는데다가 천성적으로 머리가 안 좋아 한글도 제대로 못 쓰는지라 무쌍을 한다는 일은 꿈도 못 꿧다. 맨날 병원에 다니며 수전증을 고칠 생각밖에 없었다. 그러던중, 평소에 하던 삼국지가 질려, 무쌍이란걸 해보자고 결심을 하고 루리웹 게임 커뮤니티에 가입했다. 당시 실력 같은 건 신경쓰지 않으려고 했다. 그러던 어느날 괴수분이 올려놓은 동영상을 보고 왠지 제대로 떡밥이 될것 같다는 생각이 들었다. 마침 인터넷에서 모 사이트의 공략정도면 충분하겠다 생각하고 이걸 내가 했다고 속이고 그 자료들을 닥치는대로 올리기 시작했다. 그래서 지금까지 계속 그렇게 해왔다. 그게 지금껏 발목을 잡았다. 모두 내 불찰이다."
Having hand tremor and maladroitness, I wasn't even able to write Korean....playing Musou series was just a dream for me. The only thing I had in my mind was to cure the tremor. One day, I was bored with Three Kingdoms, which prompted me to play Musou series and to register in the Ruliweb game community. Even to this extent, I wasn't going to take my skills seriously. Soon after, I saw a video uploaded by a preeminent player, which I thought to be a great attraction. I also found a site with various resources on the Musou series, and I began to upload the resources in my blog as if they were mine. I kept doing this till now. It's all my fault.

-왜 고백하기로 결심했나 (Why did you decide to confess?)

"자료 업로드를 처음 시작했을때부터 이 문제로 가끔 협박을 받았다. 최근 어전시합을 시작한 후로 이런 압박이 더 심해졌다. '니 비디오 보다가 하도 어이가 없어서 한참 웃었다'는 내용이었다.
I was threatened once in a while when I first started uploading videos. This was aggravated when I started Royal Tournament recently. "I looked at your video and I could not but only laugh." the person said.

-방문자들도 몰랐나. (Did visitors know about this?)

"10 여 명의 개인적으로 알고 지내는 방문자들은 대부분 알고 있었다. 항상 수전증에 고생해 항상 비디오는 인터넷에서 퍼온 비디오라고 이야기를 했었다. 그들은 별 문제를 삼지 않았다. 다만 일반 방문자들은 모르는 사람도 꽤 있었을 것이다. 이 일로 한 사람이라도 가슴 아파하는 분이 있다면 정말 사죄를 드린다."
Some visitors who I meet regularly knew about this. I told them that the videos were from other sources due to my hand tremor. They didn't think it was a serious problem. But some visitors from the net might have been deceived. I apologize to any person whose heart is broekn by my confessing.
